Cristiano Ronaldo is the favourite to win the UEFA Best Player award, according to a survey by MARCA.com. 46.6 % of readers (over 17,000 votes) opted for Real Madrid’s Portuguese player, whilst Leo Messi is hot on his heels with 42.4% (over 15,000 votes).
Somewhat further behind is the third wheel of Andrés Iniesta, who was only backed by 11.2% (4000 votes), despite being the best player of Euro 2012.
These three players are the finalists for the UEFA Best Player award, which will be presented on 30th August in Monaco, the day before the European Super Cup is played.
